Geographic Range

  • Darwin's Foxes are only found in Chile, and for the longest time it was thought they were only found on the island of ChiloĆ©.
  • This island is about 200 km long and 30 km west of the coast.

  • The second population is located 600 km north of ChiloĆ© Island at the Nahuelbuta National Park in Chile, as well.
  • However, this area is only 68.3 km², which is a very small area for Darwin's Foxes.
